9 schools were represented on this year's 15-member Missouri team, including 6 students from Parkway Central. Despite an unusually difficult set of problems this year, Missouri scored 34 out of 40 points on the Power Question, a score that was beaten by only six other teams in the nation. Missouri did well enough on the other three events to hold on to third place in Division B. The only teams with higher scores in Division B, Chicago and All Pennsylvania, had been in Division A the previous year. Due to this third place finish, Missouri will now be required to enter a team in Division A for the next two years. Our goal for 1996 is to take two teams from Missouri, partly so we can have a team entered in each division, but more importantly so we can increase the overall talent pool from which we select the 15 students who will compete in Division A.
